The purely vegetable Trigonella Heat Pad intensifies the supply of blood to the skin. Sinigrin, a constituent of the mustard contained in the pad, is transformed into mustard oil under the influence of warm water (35- 40°C) and the enzyme myrosinase. The local irritation effect cause by the oil creates a strong feeling of warmth in the interplay with the warm preparation of the paste, which goes hand in hand with a simultaneous reddening of the skin. With its pleasant, warming effect the pad eases tautness, improves the ability to move and increases general well-being. The Trigonella Heat Pad is suitable for preparing the muscles for massage.

Dosage and preparation instructions:
For a palm-sized pad stir 3 level tablespoons of powder into about 5 tablespoons of warm water (35-40°) to make a dough-like paste. The paste is applied to the area to be treated or spread out thinly on a linen or cotton cloth which is then placed onto the skin. A thin, moistened cloth under the pad (place directly on the skin) makes it easier to remove the paste after treatment.
After application cover up the whole pad with a large natural fibre cloth in order to avoid draught. The Trigonella Heat Pad should remain on the skin for between five and ten minutes. If the heat feeling is too intensive or, in the case of persons with sensitive skin and teenagers, the length of application must be shortened. After removing the pad the skin is reddened. The Pad may not be applied again until the reddening has gone away. The paste prepared is only intended to be used once.

Contra-indications:
Trigonella Heat Pad must not be laid on open wounds, varicose veins, mucous membranes and the face. Do not use on children under 12.

Important:
The pads or wraps should lie closely on the part of the body which is to be treated. The covering cloth should also be tight. A spreading of the pad over the whole body during an application should be avoided.
